If my acne client won’t follow my home care recommendations, should I keep working with them?

This is a common experience when treating acne clients.

Some prefer to seek their own skincare products from heaven knows where, or they just don’t keep up with their program knowing consistency would help them.

Here’s how I look at it: so long as a client isn’t blaming my work as the reason their acne isn’t improving (which they never have) I’ll continue to treat their skin. After all, there’s still a lot I can do to address the problem. Extractions, peels, deeper cleaning than they may get at home—all will reduce acne to some degree.
